Sarah is a postdoctoral researcher in the laboratory of Dr. Petra Levin. She received her PhD from Texas A&M University, where she studied the physiological roles of ion channels in bacteria. Sarah’s current research focuses on understanding how environmental factors, such as pH, impact cell morphology and antibiotic response in pathogens.  She has experience writing and editing grants, manuscripts, and science communication articles.
