Summer 2022 Workshop Descriptions
June 1st (4-5pm): Abstracts and Specific Aims

In the Abstract and Specific Aims Workshop, InPrint will guide you through the best practices in drafting abstracts and polishing your specific aims. Consider this workshop if you will be submitting an abstract to a conference, drafting specific aims for a grant, or want to develop your fundamental scientific writing skills.
June 8th (4-5 pm): Data Visualization
(Virtual – Zoom link will be sent closer to the date)
In the Data Visualization Workshop, you will learn the best practices in presenting data clearly and effectively. We will cover tips and tricks for visualizing data for manuscripts and for presentations. This workshop is beneficial to scientists of all training levels.
June 15th (4-5 pm): Beginner Schema Design in Adobe Illustrator
(Virtual – Zoom link will be sent closer to the date)
In the Beginner Workshop for Schema Design in Adobe Illustrator, you will be introduced to the Adobe Illustrator workspace and learn basic tools for getting started with figure design and manipulation.Consider this workshop if you have little to no experience using this software.
June 22nd (4-5pm): Intermediate/Advanced Workshop for Schema Design in Adobe Illustrator

In the Intermediate/Advanced Workshop for Schema Design in Adobe Illustrator, you will learn about more intermediate/advanced techniques to enhance or improve your figure designs, speed up your design process, and get introduced to the basics of 3D design. Consider this workshop if you are familiar with Adobe Illustrator or planning on delving more into graphic design in the future.
June 29th (4-5pm): Effective Scientific Presentations (NEW!)
(Virtual – Zoom link will be sent closer to the date)
In the Effective Scientific Presentations Workshop, InPrint will teach you how to improve both the narrative and slide design of your scientific presentations. Content will be focused on scientific talks but is transferable to other forms of verbal scientific communication like posters and chalk talks. This workshop will be beneficial to scientists of all training levels.
