Sarah is a PhD candidate in the Plant and Microbial Biosciences program. She is currently studying the cell cycle control mechanisms of the unicellular model green alga, Chlamydomonas reinhardtii, in Dr. Umen’s lab at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center. She had past research experience with the photosynthetic cyanobacterium, Synechocystis 6803, and various bacterial genetic engineering techniques. Sarah enjoys reading and providing feedback on many types of writing, including manuscripts, grant applications, and personal statements.
