Brian is a PhD student in the Molecular Cell Biology Program. He works in the lab of Dr. Kerry Kornfeld in the Department of Developmental Biology. His research focuses on aging and longevity in the nematode C. elegans. His current projects involve (1) gaining a mechanistic understanding of genetic and pharmacological interventions affecting lifespan and (2) understanding the role of the amyloid-beta protein in antimicrobial defense.
