Bria is a PhD student in the Molecular Microbiology and Molecular Pathogenesis program. She works in the lab of Dr. Deborah Lenschow, where she studies how type I interferon signaling on stromal cells alters Chikungunya virus pathogenesis. She received her BA in Biology from Hood College in Frederick, Maryland. Thereafter, Bria worked as a research technician at WashU where her focus was on validating gene hits from CRISPR Cas9 screens related to murine Norovirus infection. Bria is eager to assist others in improving their scientific writing and figure designs.
